Why doesn’t the MES connect directly to the equipment? What does the central control do?

In a typical point-to-point architecture, N systems connecting to M devices means maintaining many interfaces, each with its own protocol and tag conventions. Central control reduces connection complexity through unified access, protocol adaptation and a shared data model. It handles command dispatch, data uplink, offline cache and retransmission, alert delivery, and interface governance — it does not replace equipment and is not tied to a single vendor. For discrete production line smart retrofit, what are the standard parameters for communication latency and offline cache?

Accepted Answer

Reference targets: ≤20ms inside central control; end-to-end downlink ≤200ms / uplink ≤300ms (same-room gigabit network); offline cache ≥4 hours / ≥10,000 records, retransmitted in order on recovery; recovery target ≤60 seconds for specified communication or service faults. Does AI retrofit of an old production line require a shutdown? Can we keep the existing cabling?

Where site conditions permit, the integration approach can collect data externally without changing equipment control logic. Whether a shutdown, network changes or cabling work is needed depends on video interfaces, power supply and safety requirements.

Will production data be lost if the link drops? How does the cache and retransmission work?

Accepted Answer

When the link drops, data can be written to a local encrypted cache (reference capacity ≥4 hours / ≥10,000 records). After recovery, it is retransmitted in order at a limited rate; cleanup follows upstream confirmation, persistent storage and project configuration, with cache-watermark and link-quality alerts.

What is the difference between the field work engine and a common video alert platform?

Accepted Answer

The difference is the closed loop: a common platform mainly does "recognition + push"; the field work engine turns raw signals into dispatchable, traceable events — linking equipment, space, personnel and rules, dispatching by role, generating structured notifications with location, impact and suggested handling, keeping evidence, and entering review.

What are the requirements for Xinchuang / MLPS-compliant production line retrofit?

Accepted Answer

This usually depends on system classification and deployment boundaries: ① domestic hardware/software stack adaptation; ② national cryptographic algorithms and mutual authentication (SM3/SM4, anti-replay); ③ MLPS assessment and remediation support as required; ④ log retention and tamper-resistance per applicable standards and the technical agreement.

We suggest evaluating the data foundation first. Disconnected production-line data limits where AI scenarios can land; central control’s value is unifying how equipment, business systems and field events are accessed, reducing connection complexity. Whether to build the data foundation first or validate a specific AI scenario first depends on the assessment.

What modules does enterprise AI internal training usually include? How is the effect assessed?

Two layers of training: decision layer (AI ledger, maturity assessment, roadmap, pitfall checklist) and backbone layer (tool practice, quick-win scenarios, knowledge base building, 30-day pilot method). How do we judge whether an AI training provider is reliable?

Accepted Answer

Look at three points: ① whether the provider has actually delivered real AI projects; ② whether the instructors have first-line industrial delivery experience; ③ whether they can provide a post-training implementation path.
